We are excited to welcome over 850 delegates from 44+ countries to the 27th Nordic Congress of Gerontology at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm!
For security reasons, please carefully review the regulations below, especially if you plan to attend the Opening Ceremony AND the first Keynote session.
Opening ceremony – Her Majesty the Queen
We are proud that Her Majesty the Queen will open the 27NKG congress. Please respect the timings you will find under “Registration 12 June”.
Registration 12 June
The registration will open at 08:30. As the congress has over 850 registered participants, we recommend that you arrive as early as possible to the congress but no later than 09:15 to make sure that you will have sufficient time to pick up your name badge and check in jacket/bag/item if you want to attend the Opening ceremony with Her Majesty the Queen and the following Keynote talk.
The doors to the lecture hall will close and be locked at 09:55.
During the Opening ceremony and the Keynote, if you leave the lecture hall you are not allowed to re-enter due to security reasons.
If you are unable to meet the time frame, you are welcome to follow the Opening ceremony and the Keynote talk, via streaming, in the Eva & Georg Klein lecture hall, 1 min. walk from Aula Medica.
Cloakroom for clothes, bags and backpacks
Due to restricted space, the congress can only offer a very small cloakroom. We ask the participants to leave your luggage at your hotel before arriving at the congress.
On Friday, please try to avoid to bring your luggage to the congress.
Security – bags and items
Please note that no bags nor items larger than a A4 size (210 × 297 x 20 mm) are allowed in the main lecture hall i.e. Aula Medica as per recomendation from the security department of Karolinska Institutet. The congress has a small cloakroom but we ask you to avoid to bring bags/items larger than A4 size.
